SuperFoam is Like Regular Foam, but Bigger

"SuperFoam" is a creation of Rich Gilbert, and it's pretty awesome.  The concept is that you can design the foam structure to be more flexible in certain areas (by using larger or smaller spherical gaps) making a more comfortable seat, but I just like the look of it.  The construction is also really unique, using balloons, and what seems like RTV urethane to create the open cell structure.  Unfortunately, information is sparse so I can't be sure of the material.

The balloons are inserted into a mold, the mold is filled with the liquid urethane, once it has dried the mold is removed and the balloons are popped and pulled out.  Check out the video at Rich's site, it's creative stuff.

My only worry is that it may not be all too durable, or attractive, in person.  However, I think with the right material (maybe actually using a closed cell foam instead of the solid urethane it appears to use) and more spherically shaped balloons, it could be a really great piece.
